Hi, friends, if you've made it this far you must be either a current or former IMN field work participant. Welcome!
We're going to use this board to get our work done and the way we'll accomplish that is to create threads on this board which address different aspects of our FW tasks. For example, one of the first threads I'm going to create (and, please, create your own as needed) will contain the introductory piece, which explains the three major IMN requirements for FW, that I've previously included by email in an attachment. I'll start the thread with the article and I imagine as questions arise folk will ask them on that thread. If someone raises an issue pertaining to that on another thread I'll redirect their inquiry to that thread so that we can keep all of our discussions on that topic in one place and therefore alleviate the need for reinventing the wheel.
On the other hand, if specific questions dealing with nuances of the requirements come up, as I imagine and hope they will, then those will merit their own individual threads. For example, I can see the need for a thread where we all share our ideas about what constitutes an acceptable FW project. On the main thread where we would address the requirements, we would, of course outline what we're what we are looking for, but on the second thread we would talk about our various ideas and experiences around our projects.
I hope this clarifies rather than complicates. For those with experience in message boards this will all seem ordinary. For those who are new to message boards I promise it's easier than it might sound and there's lots of room to create our own practices.
Let this serve as introduction to what we're up to and feel free to post your questions and comments here; I'm going to start another thread on this board so that we can all check in!
LATER EDIT: I've transported quite a few posts and work projects over here from our former email loop. I wasn't trying to be thorough - just bring enough to get us started in our major endeavors. One thing I've learned as I've been doing it yesterday and today is that our work projects tend to be longer than I'm used to on other message boards. Because of that it might get unwieldy to keep adding proposal after proposal to the same thread, so fee free to start new threads whenever you'd like. For the ones we've created so far, I think they'll stand for newcomers as good examples of the work we're doing.
