Bibliography for Field Ed. Project – Interim Ministry Network
Kristine Franke Hill
General, Background Reading:
Clergy Killers, G. Lloyd Rediger
Healthy Congregations, Peter Steinke
Generation to Generation, Edwin Friedman
Regarding Timelines:
www.thehomeschoolmom.com/teacherslounge/timelinehowto/php This is a
practical article about how to construct a timeline.
www.usr.rider.edu/~suler/timeline.html. This brief page talked about using a
timeline to counsel battered women, what can be learned by using a timeline.
www.brief-treatment.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/reprint/4/1/57 This magazine article
was about using timelines with genograms in counseling. It reviewed Murray
Bowen’s development of family systems, and discussed some changes through
the years, pointing out how genograms and timelines in particular are useful.
Regarding Liturgies for Healing:
www.welcomingresources.org/worship.xml The Institute for Welcoming
Resources. This site contains lots of information about worship services that
are inclusive, especially to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people. This
is not specifically the issue my congregation is facing, but it certainly speaks to
the broad theme of healing liturgies – liturgies that help people become
reconciled to their past and to meet the future with hope.
www.welsprings.org.uk/liturgies/index.html Wellsprings Liturgies.
A collection of liturgies for various occasions, from a liturgical background.
www.elca.org/Growing-In-Faith/Worship.aspx Lutheran Worship Site.
About worship in the Lutheran Church. Includes worship resources.
www.ekklesia.co.uk/resources/liturgy/healing. This is a nice healing litany.
www.liturgy.co.nz/newsviews/template_assets/healing_abuse.pdf. This is the
whole text of “Liturgy of Healing from Abuse for Women” from the Anglican
tradition.
www.lectionarystudies.com/pbhealing.html A liturgy of healing – Body, Mind and
Spirit.
